Tesla Account Permissions

Elvee integrates securely with the official Tesla Fleet API. To display car metrics and let you send remote commands, you must grant specific scopes during setup.

Required Permissions & Why We Need Them

  • Vehicle Information: Used to fetch battery charge level, range, odometer, Sentry status, climate readings, and software versions.
  • Vehicle Commands: Required so you can pre-condition, lock/unlock doors, open trunk/frunk, honk, flash lights, and toggle Sentry mode.
  • Vehicle Location: Necessary for mapping, automated climate controls near your home, and finding nearby Superchargers.
  • Vehicle Charging History: Used to populate the Charging Analytics graphs and compute cost savings.

Revoking Permissions

If you ever want to revoke Elvee's access:

  1. Log in to your profile on tesla.com or the official Tesla mobile app.
  2. Go to Security > Third-Party Apps or Access Management.
  3. Select Elvee and tap Remove Access. This immediately invalidates the API tokens, and Elvee will no longer have access to your vehicle.
